True Happiness

As we grow older, and hopefully wiser, we begin to realize that whether wearing a $3000 watch or a $30 watch, they both tell the same time.  We grasp that regardless if we serve  a $30 steak dinner or $10 grilled hamburger lunch, the hunger is satisfied either way.   How about the one who lives alone in a 5000 square foot house and the one who lives in a 500 square foot house; their loneliness is the same.

Happiness is described as the feeling that comes when you know life is good and that makes you smile.  It gives a person a sense that all is well.  Happiness is dependent on circumstances that happen around you, but is only temporary.  Money and material things do not have a lot to do with true happiness, and people who emphasize money and material things are less happy than those who do not.  What, then, is True Happiness?

True happiness does not depend on outer circumstances, but can only come from one source – the Lord who places utmost importance on what will last for eternity – namely, people.

When we have family and friends with whom we can laugh with,  talk with together , play together,  pray together,  share joys and sorrows with, make plans with together, anticipate the future with – that is true happiness.

Six tips to true happiness ~~

  • Know that the One who loves you will never leave you because even if there are 200 reasons to give up, He will find one reason to hold on.
  • Don’t teach your children how to be rich – teach them how to seek true happiness , so when they grow up, they will know value; not price.
  • Remember, there is a big difference between a human being and being human.  Only a few understand it.
  • Believe you were loved when you were born; you will be loved when you die, and in between, you have to seek to give love.
  • Let the expanse of the universe and its Creator be your motivation.
  • Live and enjoy one day at a time – without worry for tomorrow.

Help others discover the mystery of finding true happiness ~~

Hug your loved ones.  Hug a friend.  Hug someone who is hurting.  Hug someone who is grieving.  Hug someone who simply needs a hug.  You will give them a glimpse into the mystery that true happiness comes from within; that every human being has value because of the worth they have in Christ Jesus.  True happiness is the result of love – from God, to God, and because of God.
