God doesn’t draw names to see who gets which gift either. No, He chooses specific gift(s) for believers in order to accomplish His purpose which is to build up, to encourage, and to comfort those who live by faith. There are as many gifts as there are needs, so His children will never be deprived of a spiritual gift.

Peering though Fog by Vina Mogg
I could not see two feet beyond its heavy curtain. In the distance a foghorn bellowed, “I am here” to boats, creatures, people displaced by limited vision. From the shoreline I watched a family of seals surface a few feet short of the heavy curtain.
The Son
The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears.
