Sunday has come! It is three days after Jesus’ death and burial. Another earthquake shook the area around Jerusalem. The grave that held Jesus’ body was empty. Jesus arose from the dead!
“It is finished!” were not words of defeat. They are words of victory! Jesus accomplished the mission He was given by the Father – to pay the penalty of sin of all mankind. The Righteous for the unrighteous. Once for all. The Son shines as the Light of the world!
Jesus defeated Satan! He is victorious over death! Jesus overcame the world! He did all this in one day!! Without the help of man. The only thing man contributed to Jesus’ crucifixtion is his sin which necessitated the shedding of Christ’s blood for the forgiveness of sins.
HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN AND LIVES AND REIGNS FROM ON HIGH!
