Lost and Found

I had a similar experience last Friday, except I found something that was not lost. My story began when on the day before my grandson’s wedding, I still had not found anything special to wear to his wedding.

Actions Reveal Character

“Why?” Tobia asked.
 “Because I want to leave. I want to live on my own,” he finished, with a defiant raise of his chin.
“Have you considered the consequences, son?”
Xander glared at his father. “I’m leaving in the morning.”

Tarnished

Seeing the silverware brought back memories of when I was a young girl and had to polish the silverware at Easter time. Every year, Mom always had a big brunch followed by an egg hunt and invited my aunt, uncle and cousins over for the big day. Back then as I smeared the pink clay-like polish on the blackened silverware, I wondered why don’t we just use our everyday silverware at Easter?
