Faith & Life

I am pleased to introduce my very special guest blogger – Stacy Monson, blogger of Faith & Life post, and author of the Chain of Lakes Series which include: Shattered Image, Dance of Grace, and The Color of Truth.   Her ultimate goal is to glorify the mighty God she serves, and to share inspiring, encouraging stories that point people to the Source of all goodness, the One who can and does redeem everyone who seeks Him.  Be blessed as Stacy shares her blog post.

Faith & Life

Life is hard.

Not every day, but a lot of the time, it’s messy and complicated, and filled with people like me – just trying to get through each day in one piece, trying to keep up, get ahead, or just not be last.

Psalm 46, God is our refuge and strength, help in times of trouble, earthquakes, mountains, oceans, waters surge

Sometimes I need a reminder that I’m okay (or will be) and all will be well. I envy the people who can pull up the right Scripture for any occasion, quote a poem, or remember the title of a book that is exactly what someone needs to get through a crisis. I can’t. Some days I’m lucky I remember where I live.

I love those pithy quotes that encourage us to keep on keeping on. Hang in there, help is on the way. You can do it! And sometimes they annoy me because they come with a distracting photo of a kitten hanging by its tiny razor-like claws from a branch, or some strange-looking cartoony character that’s supposed to (I think) make me smile.

There are times I just need a bite-sized bit of encouragement, a little rock-solid truth that reminds me others have endured similar trials and found comfort in the Creator of the Universe. I’m guessing that might help you too.

I pray the Bible verses here and throughout my website will remind you of an eternalHow precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! truth that goes far beyond what the world has to offer. You don’t need to measure up – you’re already a valued child of God! You will never be last in the eyes of your Creator.

Let these words soak in, permeate your soul, wash away the angst of your day. Lift your face to the Son and feel the love of the Father. You matter to God.

And that’s the truth.

Thanks, Stacy.  It was a delight to have you join me along with  my readers for  A Walk to the Well.
