A Psalm and a Sermon

It is as though the psalmist stepped into the 21st century with Psalm 92 and shared the pulpit with Pastor Jared who gave his message on worship. And it is as though you read the psalm with me in the middle of the night and six and a half hours later attended church with me!

The Gate

The gatekeeper said, “You have come to my gate, but I do not have a key to open it.  Have you not heard that going to church, even if you attended regularly, is not enough?”
And with those words ringing in his ears, the old man became sorrowful as he retreated from what he thought would be the right gate to heaven.

Road Trip or Vacation Spot?

Is there a wilderness in your journey? Be patient – there’s an end to it. Be aware, as well, to the oasis, for that too has an end. Like the rolling in and out of ocean waves, there is an ebb and flow to life on earth. There is purpose for each one’s journey, but the destination is the ultimate goal where time as we know it ceases.
