This is Going to be Easy!

Four sophomores at a State University were taking chemistry, and all of them had an ‘A’ so far.  These four friends were so confident that this is going to be easy the weekend before finals, they decided to visit some friends and party.  They had a good  time but, after all the partying, they slept all day Sunday and didn’t make it back to the University until late Monday morning.  They missed the final. Refiner’s Fire

Malachi 3:3 says, “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” This verse on the refiner’s fire puzzled some of us women at a Bible study.  We wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.  One woman offered to find out the process of refining silver to see if it gave meaning to our puzzlement and would get back to our group at our next Bible study. Woman to Woman

I sat at my desk contemplating the words I should use in compiling a very difficult, but necessary, letter that I had to write to a dear woman friend.  My mind drifted from the arduous task at hand to letters in general written for a hundred different reasons; business letters, love letters, letters of resignation, notes of encouragement, Christmas letters, and a host of other reasons for writing letters.
