My Finished Task and God’s Accomplished Purpose

My Finished Task and God's Accomplished PurposeI am in the process of updating my website.  This is an endeavor from one who obviously missed computer technology 101!  I thought of my finished task and God’s accomplised purposes as a check and balance of my inferior human efforts compared to God’s superior achievements.  I am humbed at how small and inadequate I am in contrast to the great God I serve who loves us immensely because it is His nature to love.

I write a weekly blog post, and God authored the the entire Bible (2Timothy 3:16) and wrote His law on our hearts (Jeremiah 31:33).
I updated my website, and God made me a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17 ) and created a clean heart within me  (Psalm 51:10).
I felt frustration at technical glitches, and God was fully satisfied at what He observed at creation – “And God saw that it was good (Genesis 1).

I persisted in my website project, and God is sovereign over all things He purposes to do (Isaiah 46:9-10).

I was happy when one aspect of the website update turned out, and God delights in those who serve Him (Psalm 18:19).
I felt it was me against technology, and God desires a personal relationship meaning we  know Him and we are known by Him (1 John 4:9).

My daughter, LaDawn, had to help, and God alone is Creator (Genesis 1:1).
I was perplexed at the inconsistencies displayed on the Dashboard and the actual homepage, and God is all-wise  in all things.
The purpose of the website is to host five pages, and the purpose of Scripture is to reveal God to man and man’s need for a Savior (John 6:40).

The five pages of my website include the Home Page, the Bio/Connect Page, the Blog Page, the Book Page, and My Reviews of Other Books Page for the encouragement, hope, and inspiration of others.   Scripture consists of 66 books by several authors, and is good: for teaching and reproof (2 Timothy 3:17), as an example of how to pray (Matthew 6:9-13), to unveil the mysteries of heaven (John 14:2, Revelation 21:3, & 1 Corinthians 15:51-55), to recognize faithful teachers and to discern false teachers who distort Biblical doctrine (Matthew  7:15-20),  to share the gospel of Jesus Christ for salvation (John 3:16),  and to give assurance, a promised hope, and heart transformation to all who believe.

I get distracted by other things, and Jesus is focused on His mission (Luke 9:51).
Sometimes I get writer’s block and can’t think of where to start, and God is all-wise and immeasurably creative (Proverbs 8).

I finish my task of updating my website, and God accomplishes His purpose of man’s redemption.  All who believe in Jesus Christ are rescued from being eternally separated from Him.

I update – God creates;  I feel frustrated – God is fully satisfied; I persist – God is sovereign;  I am happy – God delights; my reason for the website –  God’s purpose for Scripture; I get distracted – Jesus is focused; I get writer’s block – God is immeasurably creative; I finish my task – God accomplishes His purposes.

Put yourself in your own story with God’s counter-balance alongside, and be uplifted and encouraged in the God of love.
