The fourth Sunday of Advent has come and gone, but I wanted to tie the ribbon on the Advent package before gifting it to you with this last Advent comment.
Quadruple A is better than Triple A. Here’s what I mean:
A – Advent is a special time of preparation of our hearts in observance of Christ’s birth. Joy to the World the Savior has come!
A – Anticipation is a time of waiting for the promised Savior to be born, and now we wait eagerly with anticipation for His second coming! O Holy Night, the stars are brightly shining!
A – Adoration is a time of worship just like that of the wise men from the East felt when they saw the Christ child as they presented Him with gifts for the King of kings.
A – Announcement is what we get to do personally. Sing with me what we are told to do –
Go, tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere. Go, tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born.
While shepherds kept their watching o’er silent flocks by night, Behold! Throughout the heavens there shone a Holy light.
The shepherds feared and trembled when, lo! Above the earth rang out the angel chorus that hailed our Savior’s birth.
Down in a lowly manger our humble Christ was born and brought us all salvation that blessed Christmas morn.
Go, tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere. Go, tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born!
Triple A stands for American Automobile Association that members use to fix their car problems.
Quadruple A stands for Advent and He is the fix for the problems of humanity.
And that is why Quadruple A is better than Triple A.
Everyone needs to hear that Christ is coming again to set up is eternal kingdom – not as the Christ child like He did 2000 Decembers ago, but as the victorious King with all the heavenly hosts of heaven. It may happen on our watch, so live in eager anticipation of it with adoration in our hearts.
Blessings and see you in January!
